With over 840,000 cooperative societies engaging more than 320 million members, they serve as a model for sustainable and inclusive development.

Shah also announced initiatives to bolster the cooperative movement, including the establishment of the Tribhuvan Sahkari University and the implementation of a National Cooperative Policy. These efforts aim to ensure transparency, accountability, and innovation, propelling Indian cooperatives to a competitive global stage.
