The Indian Youth Congress (IYC) extended financial support to 30 children who lost their parents due to Pakistani shelling in Poonch district. This gesture was made on behalf of Rahul Gandhi, Leader of Opposition in the Lok Sabha.
Rahul Gandhi, former Congress president, has pledged to sponsor the education of children affected by the shelling along the Line of Control during Operation Sindoor in May. The aid was presented by notable Congress leaders, including Jammu and Kashmir Pradesh Congress president Tariq Hamid Karra and IYC national president Uday Bhanu Chib, at a function held in Poonch.
Uday Bhanu Chib emphasized Gandhi's commitment to these orphaned children, asserting, "Where governments turn their back, Gandhi stands for help.'' He highlighted Gandhi's unwavering support, regardless of his political position, to improve the lives of those in distress.
