The Busan International Film Festival (BIFF) has selected Park Chan-Wook's highly anticipated film 'No Other Choice' as its opening feature, reported Variety. This screening heralds Park's return to cinema after a three-year break since his award-winning 'Decision to Leave' at Cannes.

'No Other Choice' features 'Squid Game' star Lee Byung-hun as Man-su, whose life takes a dramatic turn after losing his job, while Son Yejin stars as his wife, Miri. Together, they portray a couple grappling with societal and familial challenges, as the story delves into Man-su's struggle for survival, according to Variety.

The film marks a significant collaboration between Lee and Son, their first as an on-screen couple, alongside other notable actors such as Park Hee-soon, Lee Sung-min, Yeom Hye-ran, and Cha Seung-won. Park, reflecting on the project, called it a "long-awaited passion project" at BIFF 2019 and expressed excitement for its Asian debut in Busan following a world premiere in Venice.
