Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath marked the 195th birth anniversary of Avanti Bai Lodhi by paying homage to her enduring legacy. Celebrated as a warrior queen, Avanti Bai's courage and sacrifice during India's first struggle for independence against British rule have kept her memory alive as a symbol of inspiration.

In a public address in Lucknow, Adityanath announced the establishment of a Provincial Armed Constabulary unit in Budaun, named after Avanti Bai, to honor her contributions. This initiative reflects the government's commitment to empowering women and commemorating influential female figures in Indian history.

The Uttar Pradesh government, with support from the Centre, has also named several institutions after historic women warriors to honor their contributions, including the Central Agricultural University in Jhansi and the Medical College in Banda. Avanti Bai's life story, a testament to bravery and patriotism, continues to inspire new generations of Indians.
