In a solemn ceremony, Nagaland Governor La Ganesan, who passed away recently, was accorded full military honors as he was cremated on Saturday. The former BJP leader's funeral saw attendance from numerous high-profile dignitaries.
Chief Minister M K Stalin and Deputy Chief Minister Udhayanidhi Stalin placed a wreath on behalf of Prime Minister Narendra Modi and paid their respects on behalf of the Tamil Nadu government. The poignant occasion drew in an array of political and government officials.
Among those present were Nagaland's Chief Minister Neiphiu Rio, Deputy CMs Yanthungo Patton and T R Zeliang, as well as Tamil Nadu Governor R N Ravi. His contributions as Governor in multiple states were fondly remembered by those in attendance.
