A sudden outbreak of food poisoning left over 100 workers from a Bollywood film unit hospitalized in Leh on Sunday night. An official confirmed that while the condition of the affected individuals is stable, investigations are underway.
After consuming meals at the film's shooting location, the individuals, none of whom are local residents, experienced severe abdominal pain, headaches, and vomiting. Around 600 people were reportedly served, prompting health officials to collect food samples for detailed analysis.
In an effort to control the situation, hospital staff were swiftly deployed, and police intervention was necessary to manage the influx of affected individuals into the emergency ward. Most of the patients have since been discharged following treatment, highlighting the quick response by the medical team.
