Janhvi Kapoor Stands Tall Against Trolls Over Nationalist Slogan

Bollywood actress Janhvi Kapoor has come under fire online after a video of her chanting 'Bharat Mata Ki Jai' at a Dahi Handi event circulated widely. The occasion was part of a promotional event for her upcoming film, 'Param Sundari', held in Mumbai during the Janmashtami celebration.

In response to the criticism, Kapoor took to Instagram to share the full video, defending her actions. She remarked that there would always be criticism regardless of her actions. 'If I didn't say it, there would have been a problem. Now that I have, it has been turned into meme material,' she stated.

Kapoor, unfazed by the backlash, asserted she would continue to chant the slogan every day. Her upcoming film, 'Param Sundari', is set to debut in theaters on August 29. Additionally, she stars alongside Varun Dhawan in 'Sunny Sanskari Ki Tulsi Kumari', which premieres on October 2.
