A new survey has found that young adults aged 18 to 34 are leading a shift in the travel scene in India. They are increasingly opting for heritage luxury and premium staycations over conventional vacations, with a focus on cultural immersion and authenticity over mere luxury.

The study, conducted on 2,000 individuals from Delhi, Mumbai, Jaipur, Karnal, and Kolkata, reveals that more than 53% favor iconic heritage properties. These young travelers value authentic experiences and are willing to pay premiums for stays that offer historical connections and unique moments.

Roop Partap Choudhary of Noormahal Palace highlighted the evolving preferences, noting that today's travelers not only seek luxury but also an authentic connection to culture and history. Hotels with unique history and personalized service are becoming top priorities for the younger generation of travelers.
