In a demonstration of civic responsibility on Gandhi Jayanti, Assam Governor Lakshman Prasad Acharya actively joined a cleanliness initiative in the state capital on Thursday.
During his visit, Governor Acharya engaged with sanitation workers in the Solapara area of Paltan Bazar, acknowledging their efforts and distributing saplings and sweets as tokens of gratitude.
He paid homage to national icons Mahatma Gandhi and Lal Bahadur Shastri and underscored the importance of voluntary participation in cleanliness drives to fulfill Gandhi's dream and boost public health. The Governor called for a united commitment to make Assam cleaner and greener.
