Mystery Surrounds Ravana Effigy Fire in Bhopal

In a mysterious turn of events, an effigy of Ravana was set ablaze in Bagh Mugalia, Bhopal, by two unidentified individuals, according to local officials. The incident, which took place early Thursday morning, has raised questions as the culprits allegedly fled in an unmarked red car.

The act was captured on video and has since gone viral on social media, showing the effigy engulfed in flames. Eyewitnesses reported that the suspects, presumably a man and a woman under the influence, had been frequenting the area prior to the event. A formal complaint was filed at the Misrod police station, yet no FIR has been filed.

Assistant Commissioner of Police Rajnish Kashyap stated that investigations are underway. Traditionally, effigies of Ravana are burned during Dussehra to signify the victory of good over evil, but this unauthorized act has sparked further scrutiny.
