Approximately 40 people were in the shed at the time of the blast, which occurred at around 3.30 pm. Rescue operations are in full swing, with locals and rescue personnel working together to assist the injured and recover the deceased.
Health Minister Veena George has called for additional medical resources and ambulances to ensure adequate care for the injured. The explosion has prompted a high alert at local hospitals, as the community grapples with the aftermath of this catastrophe.
