Tragic Blast at Fireworks Unit in Mundathikkode: Four Dead

A devastating explosion at a fireworks manufacturing unit in Mundathikkode left four dead and many injured, according to local officials. The tragic incident occurred on Tuesday as preparations for the upcoming Thrissur Pooram festival were underway.

Approximately 40 people were in the shed at the time of the blast, which occurred at around 3.30 pm. Rescue operations are in full swing, with locals and rescue personnel working together to assist the injured and recover the deceased.

Health Minister Veena George has called for additional medical resources and ambulances to ensure adequate care for the injured. The explosion has prompted a high alert at local hospitals, as the community grapples with the aftermath of this catastrophe.
