At a National Technology Day event in Jaipur, Rajasthan Governor Haribhau Bagde underscored the importance of integrating modern scientific advancements with India's long-standing knowledge traditions. Addressing the Central Electronics Engineering Research Institute (CEERI), Bagde said India has made significant contributions to global scientific fields, including astronomy, mathematics, and Ayurveda.
The governor advocated for using science and technology to enhance health and prosperity. He urged institutions like CEERI to develop tools to detect pesticide and chemical residues in food grains and vegetables, emphasizing the need for solutions to address food adulteration and substance abuse.
As part of the event, Bagde unveiled the poster for the upcoming Rajasthan Science Festival 2026, stressing the need for ethical values and commitment alongside scientific progress. The event drew attention to the potential benefits of marrying modern innovation with traditional knowledge.
