Vishva Hindu Parishad Decries Anti-Sanatan Remarks by DMK Leader in Tamil Nadu Assembly

The Vishva Hindu Parishad (VHP) on Wednesday vocally condemned the remarks made by DMK leader Udhayanidhi Stalin, calling them 'anti-Sanatan.' Stalin's comments in the Tamil Nadu Legislative Assembly have sparked controversy, with the VHP demanding the expunction of his statement from official records.

The RSS affiliate questioned whether Stalin would make similar comments against other religions, highlighting that such remarks not only insult Sanatan Hindu Dharma but also violate democratic and constitutional values. The VHP's international president, Alok Kumar, emphasized the irony of deriving benefits from Sanatan traditions while advocating their abolition.

Kumar urged the Tamil Nadu government to clarify its stance on respecting Sanatan traditions, especially since these contribute significantly to the state's revenue. He highlighted the cultural and historical significance of Sanatan Dharma, asserting its enduring presence and influence across the country.
