Operation Sindoor: Regional Governments Bolster Security Post-Terrorist Strikes

Following the security measures initiated after Operation Sindoor, Uttarakhand Chief Minister Pushkar Singh Dhami has instructed the Chief Secretary and DGP to conduct mock drills across the state. This directive aligns with compliance efforts concerning instructions from the national government as reported by officials from the Chief Minister's Office (CMO).

Similarly, Telangana Chief Minister Revanth Reddy convened an urgent assembly of pertinent officials at the Integrated Command and Control Centre (ICCC) in Hyderabad. This gathering scrutinized the fortified measures safeguarding critical infrastructural and government sites after Operation Sindoor. Citizens have been advised to remain alert while authorities reaffirm collaborative efforts between central and state entities for public safety.

Additionally, Jammu and Kashmir's Chief Minister Omar Abdullah evaluated security protocols along the Line of Control (LoC) during a strategy meeting. Abdullah emphasized the protection of civilian populations and rapid response capabilities. Meanwhile, Union Home Minister Amit Shah maintained close communication with both Abdullah and Lieutenant Governor Manoj Sinha amid rising Indo-Pak tensions post-Operation Sindoor.

Operation Sindoor, launched by the Indian Armed Forces, saw a decisive offensive aimed at dismantling terrorist infrastructures in Pakistan and PoK. Wing Commander Vyomika Singh, along with Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri and Colonel Sophiya Qureshi, informed the media of the successful targeting and destruction of nine terror sites, minimizing civilian casualties and infrastructure damage.

During an official press briefing, Col Sofiya Qureshi showcased footage of the obliteration of known terror camps, including those at Muridke and sites associated with the 2008 Mumbai attack masterminds. The strikes were conducted strategically at Sarjal camp in Sialkot, Markaz Ahle Hadith, Barnala, Kotli's Markaz Abbas, and Mehmoona Joya camp in Sialkot, further emphasizing India's resolute response to terrorism.
