Haryana Braces for Statewide Mock Drill Operation 'Abhyas'

In a strategic move, Haryana Chief Secretary Anurag Rastogi convened a crucial review meeting on Wednesday to finalize the arrangements for 'Operation Abhyas,' a comprehensive mock drill designed to bolster the state's emergency preparedness. The drill is set to take place across all 22 districts of Haryana at 4 PM today.
Rastogi issued detailed instructions to all Deputy Commissioners and Superintendents of Police, emphasizing operational coordination at major government sites and public sector units. This extensive exercise involves the collaboration of Home Guards, Civil Defence volunteers, police, NCC officers, and Aapada Mitras. The aim is to hone preparedness and precautionary measures, minimizing panic among residents.
Additional Chief Secretary Sumita Misra highlighted that while initially intended for 11 districts, the mock drill has been expanded to all districts. The state government has also implemented the Incident Response System at both district and state levels to optimize emergency response. This initiative aims to streamline procedures and enhance coordination during crises.
