Tripura Celebrates World Red Cross Day with Healthcare and Education Initiatives

Tripura Chief Minister Manik Saha attended the World Red Cross Day celebrations at Red Cross Bhawan in Agartala. This event, organized by the Tripura State Branch of the Indian Red Cross Society, saw the virtual inauguration of blood donation camps statewide to promote voluntary donation and reinforce the healthcare framework.

Additionally, the inaugural Saharsh Utsav, focusing on Social Emotional Learning (SEL), was held at Rabindra Shatabarshiki Bhawan. The event aimed to embed emotional intelligence within Tripura's educational landscape, gathering over 1,400 participants including students and education officials.

Speaking at the Utsav, Chief Minister Saha highlighted the significance of SEL in education, citing a Randomized Control Trial by Labhya Foundation and J-PAL that showed marked enhancements in student engagement and empathy. The event celebrated these educational reforms with cultural performances and the introduction of new educational materials.
