In a marked escalation of hostilities, Pakistan has unleashed a series of missile strikes on the Jammu region, emulating tactics reminiscent of Hamas operations against Israel, according to defense sources on Thursday. Indian Air Defense systems have been actively engaged in counteracting these aerial threats.

The assaults have been likened to a coordinated attack strategy employed by Hamas, using a barrage of inexpensive rockets to hit various urban areas. With the Pakistan Army adopting methods akin to the terror group, tensions have surged along the Indo-Pak border. Notably, Pakistan's Inter-Services Intelligence (ISI) reportedly engaged with Hamas in Pakistan-occupied Jammu and Kashmir last month.

Recent strikes targeted critical sectors such as Satwari, Samba, RS Pura, and Arnia. However, India's robust air defense successfully intercepted all attempts. Similar actions disrupted peace in Udhampur and fostered heightened security in regions like Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, leading to enforced blackouts in several areas.

The Indian government remains firm, with Foreign Secretary Vikram Misri emphasizing India's restrained yet precise military response, targeting only terrorist infrastructures while steering clear of civilian zones. An all-party meeting on Thursday revealed over 100 terrorists were neutralized by Indian forces.

The escalating conflict renewed on April 22 with Pakistan's aggressive maneuvers, which India claims provoked its defensive stance. The Defence Ministry underscored thwarting Pakistani attempts on vital Indian military targets, marking a significant episode in Indo-Pak relations.

Among recent escalations, Pakistan's intensified artillery shelling across the Line of Control has claimed sixteen civilian lives. India continues to reassure its non-escalation policy, contingent upon Pakistan's military respecting ceasefire norms.
