In a tactical victory, the Indian Army effectively countered multiple drone attacks and ceasefire violations by Pakistan during the night of May 8 and 9. The orchestrated assault along the western border and the Line of Control (LoC) in Jammu and Kashmir was neutralized, as confirmed by the Additional Directorate General of Public Information on Thursday.

As part of Operation Sindoor, initiated earlier in the week, the Indian Armed Forces dismantled nine terror camps across Pakistan and Pakistan-occupied Kashmir. Amid the heightened tensions, Pakistan's armed forces launched a series of drone assaults and engaged in numerous ceasefire violations. The Indian Army's agile response nullified these threats, reaffirming its resolve to safeguard India's sovereignty.

In a proactive measure, the Indian Army reportedly shot down over 50 drones during an extensive counter-drone operation along the LoC and International Borders. The incursions, involving swarms of drones, were met with robust air defense capabilities, utilizing ZU-23 mm, Schilka systems, and other advanced counter-UAS equipment to ensure Indian airspace integrity. Indian Armed Forces confirmed no casualties, reiterating their readiness to protect civilian areas.
