In a dramatic escalation of tensions, Pakistan's armed forces executed multiple drone and munition attacks along the western border with India on the night of May 8-9. The Indian Army stated on Friday that these aggressive maneuvers were 'effectively repulsed.'
Simultaneously, Pakistani troops engaged in numerous ceasefire violations along the Line of Control in Jammu and Kashmir. An early morning social media post from the Indian Army affirmed its commitment to responding decisively to such threats, including sharing a video underlining its stance.
Dubbed 'OPERATION SINDOOR,' these confrontations follow India's precise missile strikes on terror targets in Pakistan-occupied Kashmir (PoK) in retaliation for an earlier attack. According to the Ministry of Defence, attacks on military sites persisted, but the Indian response ensured no casualties or material damage.
