Amid escalating tensions along the India-Pakistan border, a missile-like object was discovered in Jaisalmer, Rajasthan, on Friday, prompting a swift response from security forces and police. Jaisalmer Station House Officer Premdan confirmed, 'We have information suggesting it could be a bomb or part of one, and an investigation is ongoing.'
The discovery follows similar findings in Punjab, where missile debris was found in the Amritsar district. Jandiala's Station House Officer, Harchand Singh Sandhu, confirmed the object as part of a missile neutralized in the air, adding, 'We are ensuring safety measures are being followed.' The Army has secured the area, and bomb disposal units are on standby.
In a related development, the Press Information Bureau's Fact Check unit debunked false claims by a Pakistan-based account alleging military strikes in Amritsar. The PIB confirmed the circulated video was unrelated to any military activity and urged reliance on verified government sources for accurate information.
