AICTE Launches 500 Online Faculty Development Programs for 2025-26

The All India Council for Technical Education (AICTE) has unveiled 500 new Online ATAL Faculty Development Programs for the 2025-26 financial year. AICTE Chairman Prof. T.G. Sitharam inaugurated the initiative at the organization's headquarters in New Delhi, with Vice Chairman Dr. Abhay Jere and Member Secretary Prof. Rajive Kumar also in attendance.
In his opening remarks, Prof. Sitharam emphasized the crucial role FDPs play in delivering quality training. He underlined the need for faculty and researchers to acquire comprehensive domain knowledge and applicable skills linked to industry demands, reflecting AICTE's dedication to fostering continuous professional growth and elevating the standard of technical education in India.
The ambitious initiative plans to conduct 500 online courses over six days each, covering key emerging sectors such as Advanced Materials, Space and Defense, and the Blue Economy. Open to all Higher Education Institutions, these FDPs will be supported by AICTE grants, aimed at bolstering faculty competencies to benefit students. Institutions can apply between May 10 and June 1, 2025.
