India's rising batting sensation, Yashasvi Jaiswal, has opted to remain with Mumbai for the 2025-26 domestic cricket season, retracting his previous decision to shift to Goa. According to ESPNcricinfo, Jaiswal has submitted a formal letter to the Mumbai Cricket Association (MCA) requesting this change.
Just a month ago, Jaiswal had sought a no-objection certificate from the MCA for a potential move to Goa, a step initially taken due to his family's relocation. Despite receiving the NOC, the young batsman did not submit it to either the BCCI or the Goa Cricket Association. MCA Secretary, Abhay Hadap, confirmed that the board is not rushing to a decision regarding Jaiswal's latest request, given there is ample time before the next domestic season.
Having represented Mumbai since his Under-19 days, Jaiswal has made a significant impact as a batsman with 863 runs in 10 first-class matches, including four centuries and two fifties. Currently leading the Rajasthan Royals in IPL scoring, Jaiswal's cricketing calendar remains busy, with an upcoming tour to England for a series of Tests.
