In a pointed critique, Jammu and Kashmir Chief Minister Omar Abdullah lambasted PDP leader Mehbooba Mufti and People's Conference's Sajjad Lone for failing to address the issue of job reservations during their tenure. Speaking on the Cabinet Sub-Committee's findings on recruitment reservations, Abdullah remarked on their lack of advocacy when in power or when votes were at stake.

Abdullah highlighted his administration's progress by submitting a reservation report within a succinct six-month period, noting the unprecedented nature of this achievement. He further opposed the suggestion to divert water from the Indus to Punjab, championing local needs first given regional drought concerns.

Tackling international issues, Abdullah questioned Israel's motives against Iran amid safety concerns for Indian students stranded due to rising tensions. Additionally, he inaugurated a new Rabitta office in Jammu, aimed at boosting governmental outreach and addressing public grievances efficiently.
