The assembly by-elections in five constituencies have started to show early trends as vote counting progresses. In Kerala's Nilambur seat, UDF candidate Aryadan Shoukath is ahead by 2,286 votes against LDF's M Swaraj. The election was called after former MLA PV Anvar's resignation and subsequent defection to TMC.

In Ludhiana West, Punjab, the AAP candidate Sanjeev Arora leads with a margin of 2,482 votes over Congress's Bharat Bhushan Ashu. The seat became vacant following the death of AAP MLA Gurpreet Gogi. Meanwhile, BJP's Jiwan Gupta is in third place.

Over in West Bengal's Kaliganj, TMC's Alifa Ahmed is leading against Congress's Kabil Uddin Shaikh by 2,715 votes, while BJP's Ashish Ghosh trails. The bypoll was necessitated by the death of TMC leader Nasiruddin Ahmed.

In Gujarat's Visavadar seat, BJP's Kirit Patel holds a narrow lead over AAP's Gopal Italia by 150 votes, with Congress's Nitin Ranpariya trailing. This followed Bhayani Bhupendrabhai Gandubhai's resignation.

For Gujarat's Kadi seat, BJP's Rajendra Chavda is leading Congress's Ramesh Chavda by 5,752 votes. AAP's Jagdish Chavda remains in third position. The seat fell vacant following Karsanbhai Punjabhai Solanki's death earlier this year.

As counting continues, these constituencies are key areas of interest, reflecting broader political dynamics within their states.
