In a late-night assault on June 23, a road construction site in Jorakath village, Hazaribagh district, was set ablaze by unidentified assailants. Seven vehicles, including heavy machinery and support vehicles, were torched, according to police sources.

The attack, focused on the camp of Pooja Construction, left two JCB machines, a water tanker, a generator, and other vehicles engulfed in flames. Authorities have registered a case and launched an investigation to apprehend those responsible.

This incident follows a similar arson on June 2 when a Naxalite group targeted coal trucks in Keredari, raising concerns over escalating violence in the district. Superintendent Anjani Anjan confirmed ongoing investigations into both incidents.
