In a tragic event, a chemical factory explosion in Telangana's Sangareddy district claimed eight lives and left 26 injured. The incident occurred at the Sigachi Pharma facility in Pasamailaram Phase 1 area between 8:15 a.m. and 9:35 a.m. on Monday. Authorities are actively engaged in rescue operations.
Rahul Gandhi, Leader of the Opposition in the Lok Sabha, expressed his condolences and wished for the swift recovery of the injured. He emphasized the government's ongoing efforts to deliver relief to those affected, stating, 'We stand with the affected families in every way.'
Prime Minister Narendra Modi also conveyed his sorrow over the tragedy, announcing an ex-gratia of Rs 2 lakh for the next of kin of each deceased and Rs 50,000 for the injured. As rescue teams continue their efforts, the community remains on high alert, with investigations ongoing to determine the cause of the explosion.
