Tragic Collision Claims Five Lives, Injures 23 Kanwariyas in Jharkhand

In a tragic turn of events, five Kanwariyas lost their lives, and 23 others sustained injuries after a bus carrying pilgrims crashed in Jharkhand's Deoghar district. The accident happened early Tuesday when the bus lost control and collided with a truck. The victims were headed from Deoghar to the Basukinath temple.
Sub-Divisional Officer Sadar Ravi Kumar informed ANI that the collision occurred between 4 and 5 AM. The bus not only collided with a truck but also hit a stack of bricks, resulting in the death of the driver and four other passengers. The five confirmed fatalities have been transported to Sadar Hospital, while the injured are receiving treatment.
Authorities, including Dumka Zone Inspector General Shailendra Kumar Sinha and Santhal Pargana Zonal IG S K Sinha, confirmed the accident. The Prime Minister's Office labeled the incident as extremely tragic and offered condolences via social media, hoping for the swift recovery of the injured. An investigation is underway to ascertain the cause of the fatal crash amidst the sacred Kanwar Yatra pilgrimage.
