Union Minister Amit Shah strongly criticized Congress on Wednesday, accusing the party of prioritizing vote-bank politics over the nation's security. Shah, addressing the Rajya Sabha, derided Congress members for their absence at the parliamentary session, highlighting their apparent lack of concern for national security and counter-terrorism efforts.

During his address, Shah confronted Congress over their questioning of military actions against terrorists in Pahalgam, sarcastically inquiring if the operations should pause for political speeches. He assured that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership, efforts to eliminate terrorism in Jammu and Kashmir were steadfast and unwavering.

Shah claimed that India's military strikes dismantled Pakistan's terror infrastructure, significantly weakening their retaliatory capability. He also criticized the recent comments of former Home Minister P. Chidambaram and questioned his doubts about evidence linking the Pahalgam attackers to Pakistan, finding it disgraceful and unsupported.
