In a landmark operation, Delhi Police (West District) has launched a campaign to tackle crime and disorder with unprecedented vigor. An official statement confirmed that over 650 individuals linked to street and organized crime were arrested in July 2025, alongside registering more than 55 cases under various legal Acts.
The crackdown netted 24 robbers, 28 snatchers, 21 burglars, and 75 thieves, showcasing a significant impact on street crime. Notably, 14 cases linked to the Arms Act saw individuals apprehended, while large quantities of cash and other valuables were seized.
Proactive measures were also taken against organized crime, with arrests made under the Excise, Gambling, and NDPS Acts. The campaign further addressed public disturbances with detentions for public drinking and preventive measures under specific sections of the BNSS and DP Act, underscoring a zero-tolerance approach to crime.
