Visakhapatnam MP Advocates for Steel Plant Workforce Revitalization
Visakhapatnam MP Sribharat urged the Union Minister of Steel to reinstate contract workers at Visakhapatnam Steel Plant. In a significant meeting held in New Delhi on Monday, Visakhapatnam MP Matukumilli Sribharat discussed urgent workforce issues concerning the Visakhapatnam Steel Plant with Union Minister of Steel and Industries, HD Kumaraswamy.
MP Sribharat emphasized the need to reinstate contract workers who have contributed significantly to the plant, underscoring their role in maintaining its operational efficacy. He also highlighted the necessity of absorbing these workers into regular positions to promote stability within the workforce.
Additionally, MP Sribharat proposed transferring the Kendriya Vidyalaya within the plant premises to the Ministry of Education to enhance educational quality for students. He also suggested a Voluntary Retirement Scheme for Vimal Vidyalayam staff to ensure their financial security. The minister assured that these proposals will be considered promptly to strengthen the plant's overall performance.
