A tragic series of incidents unfolded in Bengaluru, as a fire engulfed a plastic mat shop in Nagarathpete on Saturday, claiming the lives of five individuals.
Among the deceased are Suresh, Madan, Sangeeta, and two children, Mitesh and Vihaan. Karnataka Home Minister G Parameshwara visited the site, describing it as an 'unfortunate incident' and promising to discuss compensation with the Chief Minister.
In a separate incident, a suspected cylinder explosion in Wilson Garden resulted in one fatality and nine injuries. Chief Minister Siddaramaiah, after inspecting the scene, announced compensation for the victim's family and government-funded treatment for the injured.
