The ongoing 'Operation Hausal' led by the Himachal Pradesh police and the State Disaster Response Force (SDRF) continues to rescue individuals trapped by the unexpected flash floods in Dharampur. The deluge, which struck between September 15 and 16, severely impacted the bus stand, local market, and nearby homes. Himachal police communicated swift coordination with SDRF and immediate deployment of relief measures through a social media post.

Despite concerted rescue efforts, two individuals remain missing, as reported by the Himachal Police on Thursday. Assurances were given that every effort is being made to locate the missing, emphasizing the department's dedication to protecting every citizen.

In a high-level meeting assessing the damage, Chief Minister Sukhvinder Singh Sukhu highlighted the urgency of the situation, underscoring the tragic loss of lives in the past days. The state has been hit by excessive rainfall, leading to hundreds of fatalities and widespread damage, including a substantial monetary loss.
