In a nod to age-old traditions, Gujarat Chief Minister Bhupendra Patel conducted the Shastra Poojan on the occasion of Vijayadashami at his residence. Joined by police and security personnel, Patel underscored the cultural significance of weapon worship, deeply rooted in Indian Sanatan traditions, during the auspicious ceremony.

Extending Vijayadashami greetings to security forces, Patel highlighted the festival's symbolism—a victory of divine forces over evil, calling for conquering societal challenges. Celebrated nationwide on October 2, Dussehra signifies the victory of good over evil, epitomized by Lord Rama's defeat of the demon king Ravana.

On Mahatma Gandhi's birth anniversary, Patel paid tributes at Kirti Mandir in Porbandar, recalling Gandhi's legacy of khadi and Swadeshi, integral to India's independence. Echoing PM Modi's 'Vocal for Local' mantra, Patel emphasized building a self-reliant and prosperous India, fostering Atmanirbharta through local initiatives.
