Uttar Pradesh Chief Minister Yogi Adityanath urged caution against those he likened to modern-day versions of the antagonists from the Ramayana and Mahabharata. Speaking at a public gathering for the Vijayadashami festival, he stressed the importance of remaining vigilant against forces aiming to divide society.
According to Adityanath, even under changed names, figures akin to Shurpanakha and Duryodhana remain threats. He stressed that societal division through casteism and discrimination reflects the influence of these enduring malicious forces.
Highlighting the legacy of Ramrajya, the Chief Minister connected ancient ideals with contemporary progress, noting Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership in enhancing national pride and developing infrastructure. He underscored the need for continuous vigilance to uphold India's rich cultural heritage.
