India's dairy sector has witnessed a transformative period over the last 11 years, with Union Home Minister Amit Shah revealing a substantial 70% growth. Shah praised the leadership of Prime Minister Modi in this rapid expansion, marking India as the fastest-growing player in the global dairy landscape.
Inaugurating the Sabar Dairy Plant at the Industrial Model Township, Shah highlighted the plant's potential to produce massive quantities of curd, buttermilk, and yogurt. This facility not only promises to boost production but also generate significant employment opportunities in both direct and indirect forms.
The inauguration represents the Modi government's commitment to enhancing the cooperative sector. Plans for White Revolution 2.0 include a tenfold increase in dairy cooperatives across India, underpinning a vision for future growth in milk production and procurement, thus benefiting farmers extensively.
