Saumitra P Srivastava has assumed the role of Director (Marketing) at Indian Oil Corporation (IOC), carrying a wealth of experience exceeding three decades within the enterprise. As a graduate in civil engineering from IIT Roorkee, Srivastava previously served as executive director of corporate strategy at India's leading oil company before this promotion, the corporation disclosed in a statement.

With a background in executive MBA from SP Jain Institute of Management and Research, Srivastava began his journey in the LPG segment for a four-year period before advancing into various pivotal roles within the sales department. ''He is a seasoned executive with substantial experience in downstream operations, marketing, and strategic planning. Noted for his collaborative yet result-oriented leadership style, Srivastava boasts a consistent track record of propelling business growth, boosting profitability, and enhancing customer satisfaction,'' the firm mentioned in its statement.

Srivastava spearheaded significant transformation endeavors, such as the inception of non-fuel convenience stores and the Dhruva retail transformation project, along with numerous digitalization and technology initiatives. ''As he embarks on his new role, he will lead the strategic course of IOC's expansive marketing network across the nation, ensuring continued market dominance and superior customer service,'' the statement added.
