Andhra Pradesh Leverages 'Purvodaya' Scheme to Boost Agriculture

In a strategic move to enhance the agricultural landscape of Andhra Pradesh, Chief Minister N Chandrababu Naidu has urged officials to optimally utilize the central government's 'Purvodaya' scheme.

Intended for the holistic development of select eastern states including Andhra Pradesh, the scheme focuses on advancing agriculture and its allied industries. Naidu emphasized in his statement on Saturday night the scheme's potential to augment farmer and entrepreneur incomes.

At a review meeting, the chief minister highlighted the need for added value in sectors such as agriculture, aquaculture, and horticulture. He also advocated for studying market trends and empowering farmers to grow profitable crops, further suggesting a robust linkage between farmers' producer organizations and food processing enterprises to ensure better returns.
