In the midst of the Sabarimala gold plating controversy, Kerala Minister V. Sivankutty emphasized that the Devaswom Board, an autonomous entity, conducts its operations under the High Court's oversight. Addressing concerns, Sivankutty stated that the government is prepared to take stringent action against any wrongdoers.

He clarified that the government's role is limited to board member appointments, with the board independently managing its affairs. Amid the investigation into untraceable records of industrialist Vijay Mallya's significant donations of gold and copper, a senior High Court-appointed officer is closely monitoring the situation.

Devaswom Minister V N Vasavan confirmed the ongoing probe would uncover more details as it progresses. Allegations against the government and the Travancore Devaswom Board are seen as distractions, especially after the item of concern was found with the complainant. Missing records complicate verifying the gold used, heightening suspicions of potential deliberate record tampering.
