BJP stalwart K Annamalai voiced a strong forecast on Monday, suggesting a significant political shift in Tamil Nadu as the upcoming Assembly Elections approach. He highlighted growing public discontent with the ruling Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK), pinpointing issues of law and order as well as urban infrastructure.
According to Annamalai, voters across Tamil Nadu are decisively turning towards the National Democratic Alliance (NDA) for leadership, with Edappadi K. Palaniswami poised as the next Chief Minister. He expressed supreme confidence that the electorate seeks a change, referring to what he described as the mismanagement under the current DMK rule.
During a campaign event in Tiruchirappalli, Annamalai urged constituents to support Palaniswami. Palaniswami, AIADMK's General Secretary and former Chief Minister, is expected to be the NDA's keystone candidate in the upcoming elections set for April 23, facing contenders from DMK and NTK.
