On Monday, a significant fire erupted at the Refinery-cum-Petrochemical Complex in Pachpadra, located in Rajasthan's Balotra district. The incident sent plumes of black smoke billowing over the complex, prompting an immediate response from firefighting units. Firefighting operations are currently in progress.

Residents reported seeing flames and dense smoke, leading them to alert the fire services. Fire personnel responded promptly, tackling the flames with considerable effort.
Eyewitness accounts highlighted that strong winds hastened the fire's spread, intensifying damage as fire reached machinery, including composting units, of which three were impacted and two were entirely destroyed. The incident has resulted in anticipated heavy financial losses and significant smoke-related discomfort for the local populace. Fire brigade driver Sumer Singh noted the team's successful containment efforts, averting a potential catastrophe.
