BJP leader K. Annamalai criticized the Dravida Munnetra Kazhagam (DMK) and Congress following the defeat of a Constitution Amendment Bill in the Lok Sabha. Despite what he claims is improved representation for southern states, Annamalai questioned their opposition. Speaking to ANI, he argued that southern states' quotas increased by 50%.
Annamalai reiterated support for Edappadi K. Palaniswami (EPS) as the NDA's Chief Ministerial candidate, emphasizing EPS's commitments, including an anti-ganja task force and a Rs 22,000 crore agriculture loan waiver. He claimed voters are leaning toward a political shift in Tamil Nadu's upcoming assembly elections.
Criticizing the DMK on law and order and urban infrastructure, Annamalai projected a victory for the National Democratic Alliance, with Palaniswami as the prospective Chief Minister. Tamil Nadu's elections will be held in a single phase on April 23, with the main contest expected between the DMK-led SPA and the BJP-led NDA.
