Oil Minister Hardeep Singh Puri assured the public on Tuesday that India's fuel supply remains stable despite the ongoing conflict in West Asia. Speaking at the CII Annual Business Summit, he announced that daily LPG production has been increased from 35,000-36,000 tonnes to 54,000 tonnes, ensuring a robust supply.

Puri emphasized that India holds a sufficient stockpile, including 69 days of crude oil and LNG and 45 days of LPG. In light of Prime Minister Narendra Modi's appeal for austerity, Puri urged officials to consider measures to mitigate the fiscal impact of the West Asia conflict.

During a rally in Hyderabad, PM Modi advocated for judicious fuel use and suggested alternatives such as carpooling and electric vehicles to conserve foreign exchange. He also recommended postponing gold purchases and foreign travel for a year to strengthen the economy under current geopolitical tensions.
