Ceasefire Shattered: Renewed Violence in Ukraine's Dnipropetrovsk Region

Following the expiration of a U.S.-mediated ceasefire, Russian forces launched a fresh attack on Ukraine's Dnipropetrovsk region, resulting in the deaths of at least six individuals, according to regional officials.

Ukrainian President Volodymyr Zelenskiy lamented the cycle of violence after hopes for a ceasefire extension were crushed by overnight drone assaults, accusing Russia of continuing its aggressive campaign.

Regional governor Oleksandr Hanzha reported severe casualties, including a child's injury in Zelenskiy's hometown Kryvyi Rih, amid growing fears of escalating hostilities and international condemnation.
