A tragic incident in Delhi has stirred legal concerns after a 20-year-old woman died by suicide and was cremated without informing the police, leading to a frenzied sequence of events. The case came to light after a Police Control Room (PCR) call was received at Adarsh Nagar Police Station.

Authorities arrived promptly at Kewal Park Shamshan Ghat, where they identified the deceased as a young resident of Lal Bagh, Azadpur. Investigations revealed that she had died by hanging at home, but her family, unaware of the proper protocol, took her directly to be cremated.

The police intervened, transporting the body to the BJRM Hospital mortuary for a post-mortem examination. A Crime Team and Forensic Science Laboratory (FSL) have since conducted a detailed inspection of the scene, with further legal proceedings underway to address the procedural oversight.
