Union Home Minister Amit Shah has commended Prime Minister Narendra Modi and his government for a 'holistic' approach to improving public health care.
In remarks at the inauguration of the Adichunchanagiri University campus in Bengaluru, Shah highlighted the Modi administration's achievements. Modi identified illness and treatment costs as major barriers for the poor, a problem he pledged to tackle, Shah noted.
Through the implementation of initiatives like Ayushman Bharat, Fit India, and Mission Indradanush, the government has substantially advanced healthcare, Shah said, ensuring free treatment for up to 60 crore Indians up to Rs 5 lakh, among other initiatives.
