The tragedy began when the victim was involved in an accident and subsequent medical tests revealed his HIV status. His sister allegedly feared the social stigma associated with the diagnosis.
The case took a dark turn when the sister, along with her husband, pretended to seek treatment for the victim in Bengaluru. Instead, they allegedly killed him, with suspicions arising only after suspicious marks were noted during his cremation.
