The Municipal Corporation of Delhi (MCD) is set to transform 300 healthcare centres into Ayushman Aarogya Mandirs, according to official announcements.

To coincide with Prime Minister Narendra Modi's birthday, 41 of these centres will be inaugurated on Wednesday, followed by 19 more on September 30. The conversions, fully funded by the Delhi government, aim to enhance the healthcare infrastructure.

The initiative includes reconstructing existing facilities to offer comprehensive medical services. Future phases plan for the construction of additional centres, expanding healthcare accessibility throughout Delhi. Chief Minister Rekha Gupta stated that over 1,139 Ayushman Aarogya Mandirs are expected across the capital by 2026.
