Celebrating 25 Years of Impact: CCDC's Journey in Chronic Disease Prevention

The Centre for Chronic Disease Control (CCDC) commemorated its 25th anniversary with a two-day Scientific Symposium in New Delhi. The event drew over 400 global health experts to deliberate on advancing chronic disease prevention and care.

The symposium underscored CCDC's pivotal role in reshaping India's approach to handling major Non-Communicable Diseases (NCDs), such as diabetes, cancer, and cardiovascular diseases. Through evidence-based discussions, the event aimed to translate research into actionable policies and practices that could transform healthcare in India and other low- and middle-income countries.

Keynote speakers like Prof. K Srinath Reddy and Dr. Rajiv Bahl stressed the importance of evidence-informed health systems. The gathering concluded with a rallying call for continued collaboration, innovation, and policy-driven approaches to tackle chronic diseases over the next 25 years.
