Food Safety Scare at Celebratory Baby Shower in Bulandshahr

A serious food safety concern emerged in Uttar Pradesh's Bulandshahr district when more than 40 people reported feeling unwell after eating at a baby shower. The ceremony, held in Salgawan village, took a dramatic turn when attendees experienced symptoms of uneasiness.

Anupshahr Sub-Divisional Magistrate Priyanka Goyal confirmed that the incident led to swift police intervention. Over 40 affected individuals were initially treated at the primary health centre in Jahangirabad before being transferred to the district hospital. Fortunately, all affected individuals are now stable.

In an effort to identify the source of the potential contamination, officials have collected food samples from the event. These samples are now being examined in a laboratory to determine any potential health hazards present in the food served at the function.
