Surya Hospitals Expands with New Facilities and Future Plans

Surya Hospitals, a leader in women and children's healthcare, announced plans for a significant expansion involving Rs 80 crore in capital expenditure this fiscal year. The funds aim to construct a new facility in Kandivali and expand its Santacruz center with an additional 55 beds.
The healthcare network, already operating in Mumbai, Jaipur, and soon in Pune, is eyeing further growth in Ahmedabad, Gujarat, according to Dr. Bhupendra S Avasthi, founder, chairman, and managing director. The founder detailed the recent addition of the 'Amber Wing' at Santacruz, increasing its total capacity to over 250 beds dedicated to women and children's care.
The expansion is being financed through internal accruals, with the company reported to be financially robust. Furthermore, Dr. Avasthi highlighted the objective of establishing another specialty hospital in Ahmedabad, aiming for operational status in the forthcoming fiscal year.
